🍽️ Enjoy free time for lunch in Plovdiv before continuing your scenic drive south through the Bulgarian countryside.

🏞️ Next stop – Melnik, Bulgaria’s smallest town, nestled among striking sandstone pyramids and known for its rich wine heritage. Discover its traditional stone houses and underground wine cellars.

🏨 Accommodation at a local hotel, followed by a relaxing dinner featuring regional flavours.

Day 2:

🕘 7:30 a.m. – Enjoy a delicious breakfast at hotel’s restaurant.

🍳 After breakfast, head to the peaceful site of Rupite and visit the monastery complex

St Petka – a place of spiritual energy and natural beauty, closely associated with the famous Bulgarian prophetess, Baba Vanga.

🕍 Continue the journey to the breathtaking Rila Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site set in the majestic Rila Mountains. It is the most important spiritual and literary centre of the Bulgarian National Revival, with an uninterrupted history from the Middle Ages until present times. Explore its richly painted frescoes, ornate woodwork, and tranquil courtyards while learning about its deep significance in Bulgarian history and Orthodox tradition.

🍽️ Stop for lunch nearby and relax with views of the mountains before heading to Bulgaria’s lively capital.

Day 1: Bucharest – Bran – Brasov – Sinaia
